Ponç Pons (nascut a Alayor, Menorca, 1956) és un dels escriptors  menorquins més importants.
L'extensa obra poètica de Ponç Pons es pot dividir en tres períodes. El primer, 1978 i 1988, que mostra el procés d'iniciació i formació del poeta i la confirmació de la seva vocació i la seva veu. El segon, 1989 i 1997, és on es situa el gran compromís que manté l'autor amb la poesia i la impressionant maduresa artística. El tercer període, del 1998 al present, es caracteritza per l’abandonament del culturalisme i l’inici d’una poesia que s’alimenta de la vida moral del poeta.
